Delighted to unveil our final wall for this year, another gorgeous Street Art for The Goals moss creation by visual artist Aga Krym. This time we’re in the beautiful seaside village of Ardmore! We collaborated with Ardmore Tidy Towns on a mural that celebrates the ethos of the community through its commitment to Life Below Water, Goal 14. Ardmore has so much to offer from its beautiful cliff walk to its harbour to its rich history and wonderful crafts – it even has the Michelin starred Cliff House Hotel!

Goal 14 is all about conserving and sustainably using the oceans and seas. By looking after our marine life, we are protecting our home. Healthy oceans and seas are essential to our existence – did you know they absorb about 31% of the C02 emissions released into the atmosphere?! They’re also a lot of fun - swimming, kayaking, surfing and paddleboarding – who wouldn’t want protect them so we can keep doing these fun activities?! They have super cool animals living in them too, like the jellyfish, but who hasn’t seen pictures of fish and whales filled with plastic? We need to get rid of this pollution for our seas to thrive. They cover about 70% of our planet, regulate our climate and we rely on them for food and  energy too. Let’s protect our home by acting, either individually or by telling our decision makers “We want better”.

Massive thanks to our funders and partners: Creative Waterford, Creative Ireland, #PeopleAndPlanet, DEAR Programme, Ardmore Tidy Towns and Quinn’s Foodstore.
