After lots of inspiring conversations, learning moments, and creativity, it's time to say goodbye to our SDG moss mural walls. What started as a unique way to connect Waterford's communities with the UN Sustainable Development Goals grew into something truly special—a living, breathing reminder of our shared responsibility to care for the planet and each other.
We’re incredibly proud of how these murals brought the SDGs to life—literally! And we’re grateful to everyone who followed along, stopped for a photo, or engaged with the messages they carried.
Each mural had its own story: wheat stalks for Zero Hunger at Garter Lane, coastal scenes in Ardmore for Life Below Water, historic sites and dolmens in Dunhill for Sustainable Cities & Communities and Life on Land —all co-created with communities and visual artist Aga Krym.
Though the project is over these CO₂‑absorbing pieces of public art will live on. Please feel free to visit, take a picture and tag @waterfordsli - we'd love to see them!
A massive thank‑you to everyone—artists, funders, communities - who made this project possible.
